J.J. Watt spent the majority of his remarkable career with the Texans, playing 128 games over 10 seasons after being selected as a first-round pick in 2011. Throughout his tenure, he established himself as one of the league’s most dominant defensive players, earning three defensive player of the year awards and being named to the All-Pro team five times. His contributions to the team included an impressive stat line of 531 tackles, 101 sacks, two interceptions returned for touchdowns, 25 forced fumbles, 27 fumble recoveries, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.

Joining the likes of Andre Johnson and the late Bob McNair, Watt will become the third member to be added to the Texans’ esteemed Ring of Honor. This recognition reflects the significant impact and lasting legacy that Watt has left on the organization.

The October 1 game against the Steelers promises to be a special occasion, with the presence of both J.J. and T.J. Watt on the field. Texans fans will have the opportunity to show their appreciation for J.J. Watt’s contributions to the team and witness a memorable moment in the franchise’s history as he is officially enshrined in the Ring of Honor.
