In a significant development for Nigerian football, Super Eagles’ head coach, Jose Peseiro, has clarified the rationale behind his decision to accept a short-term contract with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). Peseiro, whose previous contract concluded at the end of June, has recently inked a new six-month deal that will span until the culmination of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) hosted by Cote d’Ivoire, scheduled from January 13 to February 11.
