Renowned producer in the Nigerian film industry, Ikechukwu Nnadi, widely recognized by his professional moniker, Andy Best, has passed away. After facing a long-term illness, Nnadi’s death was confirmed at a privately run medical facility in Owerri, Imo state, on the morning of Tuesday, March 19.
The news of his passing was officially announced by Seun Oloketuyi, the organizer of the Best of Nollywood awards, through a message shared on his Instagram account.
“Andy Best, a prominent figure in Nollywood as a producer and distributor, is no longer with us.
“He passed away in a hospital in Owerri today,” his statement read.
Originally from Umunkwo Village in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo state, Nnadi was the esteemed Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Andy Best Productions up until his demise.
Throughout his illustrious career, he brought numerous acclaimed films to the screen, including titles such as Lion of Africa, White Poison, My Father’s Cup, among others.
