Reddit users have been expressing frustration this morning as the popular social media site has gone down, leaving thousands unable to access its content. The website is displaying an error message, “no healthy upstream,” with a blank page, preventing users from browsing or posting.
According to the website disruption tracker Down Detector, the outage began around 5am, with users from both the UK and US reporting difficulties. It is believed that the site and its app are facing problems connecting to backend servers, though the official Reddit status page still claims the platform is running as normal.
Despite the widespread outage, Reddit has not yet acknowledged the issue on its official X account (formerly Twitter). Many users have taken to social media to vent their frustration. One user on X said, “What happened to Reddit? It’s been down for hours,” while another joked, “Reddit is down. Shows you the extent of my life if I notice it’s down at 4am.”
With no official comment from Reddit yet, users are left wondering when the site will be back online. The Mirror has reached out to Reddit for clarification.
