Bruno Fernandes rejects Saudi Arabia move, cites family and ambition

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes turned down a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia because he wants to keep playing at the highest level and remain loyal to the club, he said.

The Portuguese playmaker faced speculation about a possible transfer to the Gulf kingdom during a difficult period for United, but he chose to stay at Old Trafford. Fernandes said his family and his personal ambitions drove the decision to reject the move.

"My family is settled here, and I want to continue competing at the top level," Fernandes said. He added that leaving United during a tough season would have gone against his character and what the club means to him.

Fernandes has been a key player for United since joining from Sporting CP in January 2020, and he remains determined to help the club return to winning ways. The midfielder said he believes better days are ahead for United and that he wants to be part of turning things around at the club.
