Charlie’s Angels director and actress Elizabeth Banks is set to direct her next feature movie Invisible Woman.
The horror movie is based on the classic Universal character in The Invisible Man but this version has a major twist on the original story by shifting the focus to the female character being stalked by the titular monster.
Banks will helm and star in the film with a script from Erin Cressida Wilson who also wrote The Girl on the Train.
Given the box office failure of Charlie’s Angels, Universal is giving Banks a second chance and this is good as it shows that they believe in her and she will use the opportunity to hone her directing skills.
Elizabeth Irene Banks is an American actress, director, writer, and producer best known for playing Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games film series (2012-2015).
She directed her first movie Pitch Perfect 2 in 2015 and its $69 million opening at the box office set a record for a first-time director.
