Tom Holland has read the script of the movie adaptation of the popular video game Uncharted and has nothing but good words for it.
No one can deny the fact that the project has entwined in controversy from the get-go; it was originally scheduled for release in December 2020 but that is no longer feasible as it lost its first director.
Filmmaker Travis Knight came on board to take over as the new director but also had to depart the production due to scheduling conflicts.
At this point, it doesn’t really bode well for the adventure film but its lead star doesn’t think so as his recent statement implies that it could be worth the long delay when it arrives.
Speaking to IGN, Tom Holland (who is Marvel’s Spider-Man) was ecstatic about the Uncharted, saying the newest draft of the script is one of the best he has ever read.
I read the newest draft of the script on the way over here and it’s one of the best scripts I’ve ever read. It really, really jumps off the page.Tom Holland
Holland’s attachment was made official last June, with action star Mark Wahlberg also billed to play the role of his character’s mentor. The combination is just right for a movie of this nature.
Rumors indicate that Venom director Ruben Fleischer may be hired as the new director but nothing has been confirmed yet.
