Falcon actor Anthony Mackie says The Falcon & the Winter Soldier will be different from what fans are used to in MCU movies.
The upcoming Disney + series will feature Sam Wilson (Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) carry on the legacy of Captain America (Chris Evans). They will face both old and new foes in their journey, and their teaming up will most likely make them bond with each other.
In an interview session with THR, Mackie spoke about how The Falcon & the Winter Soldier will be different from a normal Marvel film.
“They’re going to feel different in and of themselves, because they’re shot in a completely different way than the movies. I think people are going to be surprised by how in-depth and evolved the characters become by having six to eight hours to them, instead of just two hours.”
The actor said the show was shot in an entirely different way than the movies, and that the characters have evolved as a result of the six to eight hours time they will be seen as against the running time of two hours in a standard movie.
Mackie’s disclosure is confirmation that Marvel has invested much in the characters that fans have come to love. We should expect that the two leads will have changed since we last saw them; this is why the studio is at the forefront when it comes to movies in the superhero genre. They know how to make the characters more appealing even after multiple appearances.
The Falcon & the Winter Soldier will be available on Disney + in August 2020.
