Despite the halt on the production of Matt Reeves‘ The Batman, Catwoman actress Zoe Kravitz says she is still training from home.
Kravitz had previously revealed that her training for the upcoming DC film is intense, and with the global shutdown of film and television productions, she is doing all she can to stay in shape.
While chatting with Vanity Fair, the actress was asked to share a bit of information on her role as Selina Kyle (a.k.a. Catwoman) in The Batman and she revealed that her preparation continues with the help of a virtual trainer from home.
“So, I mean, it’s not like the studio called me and said ‘Don’t get fat, bi**h’. But I had been training now for maybe four or five months, and the first couple weeks that I self quarantined, I remember texting the director. I texted Matt Reeves and I was like, ‘We might have to make the cat suit a few sizes bigger when this is over”, she said.
Kravitz disclosed that she had to commit to a new five-day training schedule and is enjoying being able to have free weekends to indulge in “food, wine and weed.”
She stated:
“It’s actually been really great just for my mental health. And kind of foods, kind of the only thing that I have, food and wine bringing me joy right now.
So, I’m definitely eating whatever the frick I want. But yeah, trying to stay in decent shape so I don’t have to start from scratch.”
The Batman will now open on October 1, 2021, moving from its original June 2021 release date.
It stars Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Zoe Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Colin Farrell as The Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, and Paul Dano as The Riddler.
