Star Wars star John Boyega is speaking for his people in the wake of the protests following the murder of George Floyd in the United States last week.
In a video that was shared on Twitter, John Boyega (who is a Nigerian-born UK citizen) is seen getting a grip on himself as his emotions threaten to get the better of him.
Joining his black brothers and sisters alongside others in Hyde Park, London, the actor who speaks with the aid of a microphone urges the black community of the need to take care of themselves.
As his deep voice booms over the megaphone, the crowd responds by cheering him on.
Boyega recently came under fire for using swear words on his Twitter handle when he responded to the killing of George Floyd by a white policeman, Derek Chauvin.
The movie star had lashed back at the critics, saying that he wasn’t on the social media platform for the kids.
