The release date for Bios starring Tom Hanks has been shifted by Universal Pictures to 2021 in the latest change of releases amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bios comes from Steven Spielberg‘s Amblin banner and is directed by Game of Thrones‘ Miguel Sapochnik.
Scripted by Craig Luck and Ivor Powell, the film follows a robot that lives on a post-apocalyptic earth, built to protect the life of his dying creator’s dog.
The robot learns about love, friendship and the meaning of human life in the course of its journey.
Tom Hanks portrays the ailing creator of the robot, and Robert Zemeckis and Kevin Misher are peoducing via their ImageMovers company.
The change for Bios‘ release date was announced on Friday in the wake of Warner Bros. moving eight of its films (including Tenet, Wonder Woman 1984, and The Matrix 4) to later dates.
