Toy Story 4’s Duke Caboom the subject of a new lawsuit…
Disney and Pixar are being sued for allegedly ripping off Evel Knievel’s likeness for the fearless character of Duke Caboom (voiced by Keanu Reeves).
The lawsuit claims that Disney has profited from the unauthorized use of Evel Knievel’s likeness, thanks to the fourth Toy Story movie.
In the film, Duke Caboom is an action figure toy based on Canada’s greatest stuntman. He joins forces with Woody, Buzz, and the other toys in their quest.
According to TMZ, K&K Promotions, who manage the late Evel Knievel, have filed a lawsuit against Disney, Pixar, and other subsidiaries for the unauthorized homage.
This isn’t the first time the Mouse House has been taken to court over allegations of such nature. Hopefully, the parties involved will reach a settlement.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League is getting reshoots…
In preparation for the future release of the Snyder cut of Justice League, actors Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and other stars have been called back for reshoots.
The report comes from THR and it says that new scenes will be shot next month, with the aforementioned stars, Gal Gadot and Ray Fisher expected to return for the HBO Max limited series. The filming will reportedly commence filming in just over a week or so.
While we all know the plot of the film, which makes the limited series different from the theatrical movie is that the story will be seen from Snyder’s perspective.
David Leitch and Ryan Gosling teaming up for stuntman drama…
John Wick and Deadpool 2 director David Leitch is helming a new film project for Universal, with Blade Runner actor Ryan Gosling set to star.
A title hasn’t been revealed but the script comes from Drew Pearce and it is said to be a personal project for Leitch as he is both a stuntman and a stunt coordinator.
John Wick and Deadpool both had insane action sequences so we know what to expect from the upcoming project. But more important than the action, the movie’s plot should resonate with audiences worldwide.
