The Nigerian Idol Season 7, yesterday reached its semi-finals with two undisputable singers. It was nothing short of awesome and mind-blowing performances from both contestants.
The popular reality show began its seventh season on Sunday, 6th February, and has since been premiered on Africa Magic Showcase (DStv channel 151), Africa Magic Urban (DStv channel 153 and GOtv Supa channel 6), and Africa Magic Family (DStv channel 154 & GOtv channel 2).
The show has been a very interesting competition as this year’s season stands out in all ramifications: the backup singers have been on top of their games from the beginning of the live shows; the contestants are really good; the judges are unbiased and encouraging, just to mention a few.
Yesterday night was full of anxiety as IK Osakioduwa (the host of the Nigerian Idol S7) kept everyone in suspense whilst making known the finalists of the Nigerian idol season 7. The contestants were, Zadok, Banty, and Progress. Zadok was the first to be called out, and as a show of his excitement, he went on his knees to courtesy and appreciate both fans and judges. It became more intense as the most viewed and praised singer in the past few weeks, Progress, was not yet chosen, even though it was obvious that Banty wasn’t going to make it to the final round of the competition, but a sit is with every competition the judges and fans would determine that, and here, anything can happen too.
The contestants started out by performing some of the songs they have had to perform on the show some weeks before now.
