Hollywood actor Matthew McConaughey recently revealed that he had a near-death experience with a venomous snake.
McConaughey disclosed this while speaking at the Today Show Australia yesterday, revealing that the reptile was a brown snake and one of Australia’s most venomous snakes.
The actor said that he was at the back shed and as it was a bit dark at the time, he had accidentally stepped on something that had gone right through his legs, frightening him. The thing had been caught by his friends who had discovered that it was a brown snake.
When I was here, I almost stepped on one and I should have been bitten. Yeah, I was going back in the back shed down in a friend’s house in Waterville and stepped on something. It was a bit dark and just as I opened it, I saw it went right through my legs and it gave me a bit of a scare. And then my friend came over and they caught it and they said, ‘That’s a brown snake, mate.’ That could have really sucked.Matthew McConaughey
McConaughey said that despite almost being bitten by the lethal creature, it was still his favorite Australian animal and that that was the reason it didn’t strike.
