Ryan Reynolds will try to raise kids during a monster uprising…
Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds is set to play a dad in an upcoming monster comedy, according to a new report by The Wrap.
The untitled movie will be helmed by Paddington director Paul King and it is based on a New Yorker short story from Saturday Night Live writer Simon Rich.
43-year-old Reynolds will be portraying a dad “dealing with everyday challenges of family and raising kids. The only problem is, he has to raise his children while living through the ongoing Great Monster Uprising”.
Sounds like a typical Ryan Reynolds flick and both old and young should get a kick out of the film when it is released.
Filmmaker Nia DaCosta has been chosen by Marvel to direct the sequel to Captain Marvel.
The news was confirmed by Variety and DaCosta (who directed highly-anticipated horror reimagining of Candyman will do the same for the superhero movie.
DaCosta replaces Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck who both directed the first film which grossed $426.8 million domestically and $1.13 billion internationally.
She is the fourth woman and the first black one to direct a Marvel Studios picture after Boden, Cate Shortland (Black Widow), and Chloe Zhao (Eternals).
Hollywood veteran Tom Hanks is in early negotiations for the role of Geppetto in the live-action film version of Disney’s Pinocchio.
The film is to be directed by Robert Zemeckis and if the deal with Hanks pulls through, would reunite both of them as they previously worked together in Forrest Gump (1994), Cast Away (2000), and The Polar Express (2004).
Pinocchio is an animated movie that was released in 1940. It is based on the children’s novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi and tells the story of a woodcarver named Geppetto who makes a wooden puppet that is brought to life by a fairy.
The puppet boy named Pinocchio is told that he will become a real boy if he proves himself to be “brave, truthful, and unselfish”.
