Ben Affleck has been hired to star in director Robert Rodriguez’s action thriller Hypnotic.
The announcement was made by Solstice Studios and the movie will see Affleck play a detective who becomes embroiled in a mystery involving his missing daughter and a shady government program while investigating some high-end heists.
Production of the project will be handled by Robert Rodriguez, Studio 8 CEO Jeff Robinov, Guy Danella, and John Graham. The U.S. distribution will be overseen by Solstice Studios.
Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt is an American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. He has won two Academy Awards and three Golden Globe Awards.
He starred in the psychological thriller Gone Girl (2014) and played Batman in DC’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017).
