Aquaman director James Wan has shared a new set picture from his upcoming film Malignant as he returns to the genre which made him famous.
The filmmaker will return to the Aquaman franchise after principal photography for Malignant has wrapped up and the image though a bit chilling reveals little or nothing.
The plot is being kept under wraps at this point but if it is based on the graphic novel, then it will be about a character who is revealed to have terminal cancer.
An unexpected development occurs when the individual finds out that the tumor is actually a parasite that gives him/her mysterious powers and armed with this knowledge, the protagonist proceeds to wage war on an evil army underneath society’s skin as he/she unlocks the secrets of a forgotten past.
Annabelle Wallis leads the cast which includes Jake Abel, George Young, Maddie Hasson, Michole Briana White, and Jacqueline McKenzie.
Malignant will arrive in theaters on August 14th, 2020.
