Twilight alum Kristin Stewart is an actress whose association with activist politics lands her in trouble in Seberg.
It’s good to see that Stewart has matured in Hollywood, moving beyond the Twilight franchise to take on more challenging roles. Her performance here seems to be the most dramatic yet and the trailer shows that she largely succeeds in playing the titular character.
Seberg is a political thriller directed by Benedict Andrews and stars Stewart as Jean Seberg, an American actress in the late 1960s who is bored with acting and decides to become affiliated with the Black Panthers, a group of black political activists. By doing so, she paints a target on her back and her life becomes a living hell.
Seberg premiered at the Venice Film Festival on August 30, 2019, and will be released in the United States on December 13, 2019, by Amazon Studios, and in the UK on January 3, 2020, by Universal Studios.
Kristen Jaymes Stewart is an American actress whose movies have grossed over $4.3 billion worldwide. She was the world’s highest-paid actress in 2010 and 2012 and is a recipient of a Cesar Award (the first American actress to win it).
Stewart gained worldwide recognition for her portrayal of Bella Swan, the young girl who falls for a vampire in The Twilight Saga films (2008-2012).
