Former INEC Chairman appointed Pro-Chancellor of Kano state-owned University

The Kano State Executive Council has appointed former INEC chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, as Pro-Chancellor/Chairman of the Governing Council of Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kumbotso. The council also appointed Oba Dr Moshood Aliiwo as the university's Chancellor. The appointments come after the National Universities Commission recognized the institution as the 61st state university and the 222nd university in Nigeria's university system. The appointed officers include the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Bursar, and Librarian, with various tenures for each position.
