, the DC project that has been in development for some time has been given an official release date.

The Dwayne Johnson movie from New Line Cinema will debut on December 22, 2021, and (who worked with Johnson on Disney’s Jungle Cruise) will direct.

Johnson has been attached to the role for years and it is good to know that the production is finally kicking off after being in a state of limbo.


The character of has been described as a “rebellious, one of a kind superhero who’ll always do what’s right for the people”. Johnson says the character does things his own way, in truth and justice.
