Dwayne Johnson Announces Live-Action ‘Moana’ Adaptation for Disney

Disney's hit animated movie Moana is getting a live-action adaptation produced by Dwayne Johnson, who also voiced demigod Maui in the original film. The new version will celebrate Pacific Islanders' traditions and communities and feature the original voice actor Auli'i Cravalho and the screenwriter Jared Bush. It joins a roster of Disney animated titles that have received live-action adaptations, including Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin.
