My Sons Were Traumatized By ‘Black Panther’ – Sterling K. Brown

Hollywood actor Sterling K. Brown has revealed that his two sons felt traumatized by the character he played in Black Panther.

Brown made the disclosure during an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers and said that his sons, Andrew (8) and Amare (4) didn’t like the fact that his character and onscreen son die in the film.

The black American actor joked about picking up his 8-year-old son and rocking him back and forth while assuring him that everything would be alright. He said Andrew never left his side even when they were at an afterparty after seeing Black Panther.

Brown played N’Jobu in Black Panther, the father of the antagonist Erik Killmonger, who betrayed his people by aiding a criminal steal vibranium from the kingdom of Wakanda.

Speaking about Frozen 2, Brown said that his kids enjoyed the movie itself but weren’t particularly thrilled by his role in it.

Sterling Kelby Brown is an actor whose breakthrough came in 2016 with the portrayal of prosecutor Christopher Darden in the first season of the series America Crime Story.

His role in role in the NBC drama series This Is Us earned him his second Emmy Award in 2017 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Television Series Drama, and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.
