Nollywood actress, Rachael Okonkwo will make her first appearance in a Yoruba movie as she picks up a role in Femi Adebayo’s “Survival Of Jelili”.
The 32-year-old actress who grew up in Nsukka, Enugu state is well renowned for comedy films and she’s taking it to the Yoruba section of the industry for the first time.
Femi Adebayo, a popular Yoruba actor and movie producer enlists Rachael Okonkwo in “Survival Of Jelili” which is under production and set to hit the cinemas on December 6, 2019.
In the film, Jelili finds himself working in a government school alongside Okonkwo.
Jelili opens up on his feelings for Okonkwo, who accepted to be his love interest after several trials.
Okonkwo became popular for her role in ‘Nkoli Nwa Nsukka’, where she played the lead character.
Survival of Jelili is being directed by Desmond Elliot and it stars regular faces such asToyin Abraham, Dele Odule, Desmond Elliot, Seyilaw, Gbenga Adeyinka 1st, Woli Agba, Arole, Papi Luwe, Adebayo Salami, Aisha Lawal, Rachael Okonkwo, Razak Olayiwola aka Ojopagogo and Bolanle Ninalowo.
‘Survival of Jelili,’ is a sequel to Adebayo’s highly successful comedy film, ‘Jelili’. Adebayo returns as his character, ‘Jelili’ who tries to try his hands on different professions in his bid to attain success.
