Disney’s latest animation Frozen 2 is off to a terrific start at the international box office, dominating in 45 foreign territories during the weekend.
Debuting in a handful of overseas markets this weekend, Frozen 2 made $7.7 million in Italy, $6.6 million in Australia and $13.7 million in Russia as it has now claimed the title of the biggest animated opening of all-time.
Speaking globally, the animated movie has earned a whopping $ 738 million in just 12 days of its release and is expected to be the sixth Disney film to cross the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.
Frozen 2 is the highest-grossing movie in the history of Indonesia and the Philippines, making $90.5 million in China, $61.2 million in Korea, $38.3 million in Japan and $35 million in the U.K.
