Nollywood Actress Speaks Against Nudity In Home Movies
Florence Okonkwo says that actors don’t have to take nude roles to be famous

Nollywood actress Florence Okonkwo has criticized fellow movie stars going nude in acting roles.

The UK-based actress while speaking to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that they were other ways to attain fame in the movie industry besides going nude.

Okonkwo who was honored recently at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) stated that even though western actors engaged in nudity, it was something she was against personally.

She also said that most of her movies dealt with vices in society and their solutions.

As an actress, I select the kind of role I play. Any role that does not impact positively to the society, I usually don’t find it attractive.

As a film producer, most of my movies have to do with societal vices and their solutions. Western actors do this and get away with it but I am personally against taking nude pictures to get roles for the sake of becoming famous.Florence Okonkwo – pmnewsnigeria.com

Florence Okonkwo is a Nigerian actress who launched her career in 2012 with a cameo role in Shameful Deceit.

She attended Nazareth School and Holy Child College, Ikoyi, Lagos and proceeded to the University of Lagos where she bagged a degree in Banking and Finance.

She won a scholarship for a Masters Program and in the United Kingdom where she studied Marketing.

She has starred in several movies and has also produced the films For the Love of Money, Top Range, Oga Detective, and Broken Cross.
