Veteran Nollywood actress Joke Silva has been given a Movie Rock of Fame Award in recognition of her contribution to the Nigerian movie industry.

The recognition took place yesterday, December 6, 2019, at this year’s edition of the ZUMA Film Festival at Abuja.

Joke Silva was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award along with other notable practicing professionals in a ceremony that saw other prominent Nigerians in attendance.

Dr. Chidia Maduekwe, Chairman of the festival planning committee, said the recognition on the individuals was one that was well-deserved, noting that their labour of love would continue to be recognized.

This is our modest attempt at appreciating the enormous contributions of these film practitioners in the Nigeria film industry and their achievements thereof. The labour of love and commitment to Nigeria’s development of our industry geniuses shall continually be recognized and rewarded.Chidia Maduekwe – guardian.ng
