Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame has bested Golden Globe winner 1917 at the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards to take home the award for Best Action Movie.
The 25th annual Critics’ Choice Awards held yesterday, Sunday, January 12, 2020, at Barker Hangar, Santa Monica, California.
Endgame was the closing saga in Marvel’s Phase 3 stories, bringing to a close what a lot of fans around the world have called some of the best superhero films of all-time.
Its main opponent was the Sam Mendes-directed war drama 1917 which has gotten rave reviews and nabbed a Golden Globe award. Marvel’s blockbuster beat it to claim the crown of the Best Action Movie.
Avengers: Endgame broke numerous box office records to become the most successful film of all-time and its latest achievement comes as soothing relief to fans who have wondered if it would get some major award recognition.
