Taking the world unawares by the release of his latest album, Eminem has released the video for Darkness, one of the tracks and he takes us back to the tragedy that occurred in which the motive for the killing of many was never ascertained.
Proving he still has what it takes any time and willing to let his unbridled talent showcase his artistry, the iconic rapper explores what could have possibly been going through the mind of Stephen Paddock, the man who opened fire on a crowd of concert-goers in Las Vegas, killing 58 individuals and bringing the total count to about 869 injured persons.
It was a dark day in the history of the United States and Eminem clearly hasn’t forgotten. His lyrics are laced with thought-provoking rhymes and his tone is somber as he recreates the harrowing details.
After being in the game for so long, the veteran hip hop icon still has what it takes to take our breath away and his advocating for gun control is something that America as a nation desperately needs.
It’s a wonderful return for one of music’s all-time greats and one we will not take for granted.
