Danny Tetley lied that his Facebook account had been hacked when he was arrested

Daniel Tetley, a 40-year-old man who found fame on The X-Factor in 2018 has been sentenced to nine years in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of sexual exploitation.

The pedophile singer sent X-rated pictures of himself to boys aged 14 to 16, engaging in highly sexualized chat with them in his attempt to convince them to send him nude photos in return.

When apprehended, Tetley falsely claimed that his Facebook account was hacked and said he couldn’t cope with the fame that X-Factor brought him.

An added stipulation to the sentence is being closely monitored for a further eight years upon his release from incarceration. He will also be made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 20 years.

The judge, while passing the sentence, was stern in his words as he addressed the singer who wore no expression of guilt on his face.

In the words of the judge:

What you demanded and showed were blatant and the disgusting level to which you sank, Mr. Tetley, was quite unbelievable. Many will see you for what you are, a despicable creature.

The reality is our society is deeply interested in celebrity, it does no harm. Pure entertainment of highest order including X-Factor, upon which you featured in some capacity. You exploited the status it gave you. You abused that status to satisfy your perverted sexual needs, by your actions.
