Ben Affleck has revealed his daily struggles in life, disclosing that he has been on anti-depressants for the past 26 years.
The popular actor recently revealed that the biggest mistake he has made in his life was divorcing Jennifer Garner (also an actress, and the mother of his children).
In a segment picked up by Page Six in which the movie star was on Good Morning America, he disclosed that medication has been helpful to him over the years.
Affleck said that he often gets depressed and has to resort to taking anti-depressants to deal with the feeling of sadness that comes with it.
He revealed that he first started taking the drugs when he was 26 years old and that many of them come with bizarre side effects (one of which was an instant weight gain of 60 pounds).
Affleck stated that he had visited a rehabilitation facility several times over the past decades, recalling how he was photographed out of a nightclub last year (when he had relapsed into drinking).
Recently, the star has been inspired by his children to remain sober. He had promised that his stumbling episode would not happen again.
Affleck divorced Garner in 2015 and they finalized the split three years later.
