Amid the coronavirus pandemic, Twitter users have tongue-lashed singer Seyi Shay for comparing the deadly virus to Malaria and Typhoid.
Many celebrities have joined their colleagues in urging members of the public to adhere strictly to safety precautions as more sensitization is going on.
Taking to her Twitter account, Seyi Shay asked if coronavirus was more deadly than malaria, wondering why the Nigerian government couldn’t do something about malaria and typhoid that continue affecting people.
So wait… is corona virus more deadly than malaria? And why cant our government do something about malaria and Typhoid that people seem to be getting every week out here? Or is that just a WHOOOOLE 'nother story??

She went further to acknowledge the fact that COVID-19 was contagious but still asked if it was more deadly. She said that people forget that victims of malaria and typhoid die daily.

The artist’s comments brought a series of condemnation and insults, with a few defending her ignorance by saying it was excusable because she was not an authority on the subject.
