Will Smith’s daughter, Willow, is set to do something many will frown upon, just for the love of art.
The Whip My Hair singer has revealed that she will sit inside a box for 24 hours during a performance in a move inspired by her personal life experiences.
According to a report, the stunt is a way for Willow to deal with the anxiety that has troubled her since she was little.
TSR’s report reads:
Just the other day, she told the publication that ‘starting at 9 pm PST, her and her boyfriend #TylerCole will begin going through eight stages of anxiety: paranoia, rage, sadness, numbness, euphoria, strong interest, compassion and finally, acceptance at the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MOCA).’
The box in which the singer and actress will enter is reportedly clear but there will be a canvas inside on which Willow and her boyfriend will paint and write down affirmations.
When asked how the idea came to her, Willow said that she was at the studio with her guy when they decided to perform the stunt.
Different reactions have trailed the decision as a lot of people don’t seem to like the idea.
A commenter stated: ‘They should play The Box over and over for the full 24 hours,’ and one other follower posted this: ‘Won’t be trapped if she put herself there.’
Another follower wrote: ‘I don’t even know what to say like this. It’s for her own health.
A fan who was curious asked: ‘Why did she stop making music? I feel like she was pretty talented!’ and one other follower said: ‘she makes more alternative music now. She is releasing an album with Tyler cole this Friday. Their band is called The Anxiety.’
Another person reacted: ‘Many artists make non-mainstream music and you don’t have to go look for it. Like fka twigs for example, who is actually talented. Willow… Not so much.’
