Bill Cosby‘s lawyer is bent on getting his client an early release as he has continued advocating that he be let out on health grounds.

Andrew V. Wyatt, Cosby’s spokesperson, released a statement to NBC News recently, saying that it could be fatal for the aged comedian to get the coronavirus infection as he wasn’t likely to survive it.

The 82-year-old Bill Cosby has several health issues which increases his susceptibility to the dreaded disease.

Cosby was imprisoned for sexually assaulting a woman named Andrea Constand is currently taking drugs for high blood pressure. He also suffers from glaucoma and quasi-blocked arteries.

The actor had to undergo two surgeries so that his heart can continue functioning.

Wyatt in his statement asked Governor Wolf if Cosby could be let out of jail due to his health status, saying that since the comic icon wasn’t given a life or death sentence, he shouldn’t have to die behind bars.

Governor Wolf had allowed some inmates to be taken home for confinement or to different facilities, but had denied Cosby when his lawyer had asked for the same privilege.

Embattled singer R.Kelly had also asked to be let out of jail earlier but had also been denied as he was said to be a flight risk.
