COVID-19: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson Back To Work After Recovery
UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was discharged from the hospital on April 12

Johnson was discharged from the hospital two weeks ago. He had been treated in intensive care after his coronavirus symptoms got worse.

To mark his return to office, he made a short address to the nation on Monday, stating that the region is beginning to turn the tide on COVID-19, but directed citizens to continue observing the strict rules of the lockdown.

He said:

“If this virus were a physical assailant, an unexpected and invisible mugger – which I can tell you from personal experience it is – then this is the moment when we have begun together to wrestle it to the floor.

And so it follows that this is the moment of opportunity. This is the moment when we can press home our advantage. It is also the moment of maximum risk.”

Exactly a month ago, Johnson was diagnosed with coronavirus, and was hospitalized on April 5, 2020.

He was discharged on April 12 and continued convalescing at the Prime Minister’s country retreat.
