Karen Gillan And Awkafina Starring In Action Comedy ‘Shelly’

Jumanji stars Karen Gillan and Awkafina are set to reunite in the upcoming action comedy film Shelly.

Karen Gillan is part of the ensemble cast of Marvel’s record-breaker Avengers: Endgame, where she played Nebula. She also features in the Jumanji franchise alongside Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart.

Awkafina gave a wonderful impression of the character played by Danny DeVito in Jumanji: The Next Level, showing just how talented she is in the comedy genre.

The two stars will come together again for Shelly, whose script is being taken around to different studios with the hope of finding a home.

The plot of the movie takes place ten years after Shelly Wheeler (Awkafina) was the victim of an embarrassing prom prank that left her scarred, leading to her running away from town.

The trauma of the ugly incident turned her into an ice-cold hit-woman, and she is about to get an opportunity for revenge when it is revealed that her next target is her former high school bully, Dianna Park (Gillan).

However, it turns out that Dianna is not so bad in her older years and she befriends Shelly, finally getting her a seat at the cool table. Unfortunately, Shelly has to deal with another hit crew hired to kill both her and Dianna, leading to hilarious moments and non-stop action.
