Apple has enlisted the help of Paramount Pictures for Martin Scorsese’s adaptation of Killers of the Flower Moon.
This comes after months of ironing out budget concerns over the upcoming movie which will feature actor Leonardo DiCaprio collaborate with the acclaimed director once again.
Per a report from Variety, Paramount will distribute the murder mystery drama, with Apple financing the picture and also serving as the film’s creative studio. The deal has been finalized but that should happen anytime soon.
The film will be produced by Imperative Entertainment, whose partners Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas acquired the book in 2016. They had brought Scorsese and DiCaprio on board after the acquisition.
Killers of the Flower Moon is based on the book David Grann’s non-fiction book and set in 1920 Oklahoma. It tells the tale of the newly created Bureau of Investigation as it begins looking into a string of murders of rich Osage Indians who had been granted revenue rights to oil discovered under their lands.
