Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ Gets An Earlier Release Date In The UK

Marvel‘s upcoming film Black Widow has secured an earlier release date in the UK.

According to a recent report by Digital Spy, Disney has confirmed that the Scarlet Johansson solo outing now has a release date of October 28, 2020 in the United Kingdom.

The news means the film arrives more than a week earlier than its US counterpart (November 6, 2020).

Originally meant to be in cinemas by now, Black Widow had to be pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now, it occupies the November 6 spot originally meant to be the date for the arrival for another Marvel blockbuster, The Eternals (which has been postponed to 2021).

Meanwhile Florence Pugh, who stars alongside Johansson as her sister-in-arms, recently opened up about her biggest fear on Black Widow.

Pugh admits that she worries about hearing the Russian accent she uses for the movie.

I was scared because my Russian accent was going to be out there and I didn’t know what it sounded like. I’m also playing a character who no one has seen before but they’ve read about her. I didn’t know whether people were going to hate me!”

The actress also mentioned her worries about joining the MCU, saying: “When you think of Marvel, it’s big and daunting. Especially being a relatively small actor to look at it and go, ‘Oh, I’m going to be a part of this.’ That’s a big decision.”
