Nigerian comedienne Real Warri Pikin has opened up on why she tried to take her own life in 2018.
The mother of two whose real name is Anita Alaire Afoke Asuoha was featured on actress Tonto Dikeh‘s food show Grub and Rub, where she said that she and her husband were indebted to the tune of over N20 million.
Real Warri Pikin disclosed that she and her hubby invested in several businesses that didn’t work, revealing that they borrowed money from friends and family members to do so, only for it not to yield the desired fruits.
She said that they had to sell off one of their vehicles (a Rav 4 Jeep) and their only land in Kuje.
The performer added that everything was not going well, and those they owed were on her neck. This led to her suicide attempt.
