One person has been reportedly killed in Delta state after suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra attacked  Ugbolu community, close to the state’s capital Asaba.

The incident which happened in the early hours of Wednesday also witnessed the burning of a truck belonging to Dangote groups.

According to Vanguard, the gunmen who were on the rampage in the southeast and some parts of Delta, burnt down two Dangote trucks, and one Keke and damaged one Audi car.

The suspected IPOB elements reportedly blocked the Ugbolu/Illah Road at Mile 5, shooting indiscriminately. The Vanguard gathered that one was feared killed during the shooting.

When contacted, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Bright Edafe said he was yet to get the report.

Edafe said Officers and men have been deployed to the troubled area to restore peace and order, adding that the police was on top of the situation.
