Sunday Oliseh, the former captain of the Super Eagles, is thrilled that he’ll be able to play with other African football legends in the FIFA Legends Cup.
In the next game, Oliseh will be joined by two other Nigerian soccer stars; Yakubu Aiyegbeni and Perpetual Nkwocha.
Aiyegbeni appeared in a number of games for the Nigeria national team during his active career.
Nkwocha was an international champion, who won the Women’s AFCON tournament four times and was African Footballer of the Year.
Oliseh tweeted:
“Fifa Legends Tournament in Qatar; Had a great time with these African Legends. See if you can name them all and possibly, their countries of origin. It was laughter and joy galore all through.”
Legendary Senegalese players, El-Hadji Diouf, Khalilou Fadiga and Demba Ba were all included for the “African Lions,” along with three more legends who played for Chelsea: Geremi Njitap (Cameroon), Michael Essien (Ghana), and Didier Drogba (Cote d’Ivoire).
Other former African stars, who featured are, Yaya Toure, Robert Kidiaba, Thomas Nkono and Gaelle Enganamouit.
