132 Nigerian Returnees from Sudan Set to Arrive in Abuja

Nigeria Evacuates 1,984 Citizens From Sudan

The next group of 132 Nigerian returnees from Sudan is expected to arrive in Abuja at around 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Mr. Abdur-Rahman Balogun, Head of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit at NiDCOM, stated that the returnees departed from Port Sudan International Airport on Saturday at 7:20 a.m. local time aboard a Tarco Airline B737-300 aircraft.

The group comprises 124 adults and seven infants. Their journey includes a stopover in Juba, with an estimated flight time of 2 hours and 50 minutes from Port Sudan to Juba, a one-hour stopover, and a 3-hour and 30-minute flight from Juba to Abuja. The total travel time is approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes.

The returnees’ flight is anticipated to touch down in Abuja between 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. Nigerian time.
