The announcement, which sent waves of excitement throughout the music industry, features an impressive array of Nigerian music heavyweights, including the prolific Davido and the rising star Asake. Joining Davido and Asake are an ensemble of exceptional talents spanning various genres, including the versatile Kizz Daniel, Afrobeat sensation Bamby, gospel icon Benjamin Dube, the sensational Black Sherif, the promising Blxckie, Rwandan sensation Bruce Melodie, Bwiza, Didi B, Dystinct, Janet Otieno, Ivorian sensation Josey, and Portuguese-Mozambican crooner Lisandro Cuxi.

Earlier, the organizers had revealed the nominees for the awards, with Nigerian superstars Davido and Burna Boy leading the pack with four nominations each.

Olivier Laouchez, Trace Chairman, and co-founder expressed his admiration for African artists, calling them “extraordinarily creative and dynamic,” and emphasized their deserving recognition on a global scale.

He stated, “They represent a massive cultural force and deserve more global recognition and celebration. The Trace Awards’ nominations salute achievement and excellence from more than 150 performers.”
