In a shocking turn of events, the Lagos State Police have confirmed the detainment of popular Nigerian musician, Naira Marley, as part of an ongoing investigation into the untimely demise of rising star Mohbad.
Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, professionally known as Mohbad, tragically passed away on September 12th, leaving the Nigerian music industry and his fans in deep mourning. He was laid to rest on the following day, but the circumstances surrounding his death have ignited a whirlwind of controversy on social media platforms.
Many music enthusiasts have pointed accusatory fingers at Naira Marley, whose real name is Azeez Fashola. This controversy stems from allegations made by Mohbad himself in October 2022, claiming that he had been assaulted by Naira Marley, who also happens to be the head honcho of Marlian Records, Mohbad’s former music label. In a troubling post, Mohbad even requested his fans to hold Naira Marley accountable if any harm befell him.
