Barcelona’s Pedri suffered another setback after being forced off early due to an injury during Spain’s Euro 2024 match against Germany.
Starting in the lineup, Pedri was taken off within the first 10 minutes following a rough tackle by Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos. The late and high challenge left Pedri in visible pain on the pitch, yet the referee surprisingly did not issue a yellow card to Kroos.
Pedri initially attempted to continue playing but was unable to and was substituted by Dani Olmo shortly afterward. His Spain teammates, including Ferran Torres, quickly offered their support as he left the field visibly distressed.
The extent of Pedri’s injury is yet to be determined, but fans and teammates alike are hopeful for a swift recovery.
