Famous American rapper Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., better known as Snoop Dogg, will have the honor of carrying the Paris Olympic flame in the final stretch before the opening ceremony. The highly anticipated event is set to take place on Friday, July 26, 2024, featuring over 10,000 athletes on boats along the Seine River.
Prior to the commencement of the ceremony, Snoop Dogg will carry the torch through the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis. The town’s mayor, Mathieu Hanotin, confirmed this exciting news on his official X account. Hanotin wrote, “Saint Denis: last step before the Eiffel Tower. An international cast @SnoopDogg for the last stretch of the Olympic Flame.”
Joining Snoop Dogg as torchbearers are French rapper MC Solaar and French actress Laetitia Casta, adding to the international and diverse lineup for the relay.
