Designer Ifeoma Umenyiora has released the spring-summer 2026 collection for her fashion brand Piillz Poizn, a line that pairs traditional African textiles with contemporary tailoring. The Afro-Modern Edit collection sits at the intersection of heritage and modern fashion, with each piece designed to hold both cultural identity and present-day relevance at once.
Umenyiora, the brand's founder and creative director, built the collection around a specific philosophy: tradition and modernity are not mixed together but rather worn simultaneously. The pieces balance softness with structure, ornate details with minimalism, and traditional craft with innovation. This approach rejects what she calls "simple fusion" in favour of what she describes as redefinition.
"Afro-Modern Edit is about honouring where we come from while confidently stepping into where we are," Umenyiora said. "It's a reflection of identity in motion, intentional, layered, and unapologetically rooted."
The collection features clean, architectural silhouettes paired with fabrics rooted in African cultural traditions. Umenyiora designed the pieces to feel deeply personal to the wearer while remaining broadly appealing across different markets and audiences. The work marks another chapter in Piillz Poizn's evolution as a brand that tells stories through design rather than simply producing clothing.
