Father of popular American country singer Taylor Swift recently gave an intruder the fight of his life, and now it seems justice has caught up with the burglar.
The burglar broke into the $4 million Florida penthouse belonging to Scott Swift and met a resilient resistance in the person of the older man who ended up fighting him off.
The Tampa Bay Times reported that Scott Swift returned to his home on January 17, 2020, moments after 30-year-old Terrence Hoover entered the apartment using an emergency escape stairwell to climb 13 floors.
Both men fought before Hoover ran away as police reports show. The burglar has a lengthy arrest record that includes domestic violence, aggravated battery, burglary, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.
Taylor’s father recognized Hoover from a lineup of photos he was shown by the police after he called them to report the incident.
It was not until last week that Hoover was found. He was arrested on burglary charges and is being held on a $50,000 bond.
The mother of the intruder has said that her son was only searching for his estranged wife and got lost in the process. She insists he should only be charged with trespassing.
