Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas has joined the upcoming Uncharted film, alongside actors Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg.
The Mask of Zorro star is a Spanish actor, film producer, and director who has received numerous accolades, including a Cannes Best Actor Award, and nominations for a Tony Award, an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and five Golden Globe Awards.
Reports also reveal that Sophia Ali and Tati Gabrielle have also been added to the cast. Ruben Fleischer (Venom) will direct, securing the deal as he was made the top choice some weeks ago.
Uncharted follows Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), a treasure hunter who journeys across the world to uncover different historical mysteries.
Banderas’ role in the movie is currently unknown but something tells us that it is a significant one.
Charles Roven and Alex Gartner are producing for Atlas Entertainment alongside Avi Arad and Ari Arad for Arad Productions.
