Veteran Nigerian singer Olawale Olofor popularly known as Brymo has been criticised on social media for referring to Peter Obi as a ‘possible anarchy’

The singer who has been vocal about his support for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu engaged some Twitter users on his choice of candidate.
In one of the engagements, Brymo was asked about insinuations of Tinubu’s failing health. He responded to the tweet by stating that he would prefer an ailing Tinubu presidency to Peter Obi of the Labour Party whom he described as a ‘possible anarchy’.
In his words, “…and I’d rather an ailing one than possible anarchy”.
Referring to Peter Obi in another Tweet, Brymo said, “It is not prudent to elect him (Obi) yet, he may have to organise his home-front to lead rest of us…an Igbo VP first maybe to test waters with the region is safer”

Brymo’s controversial tweets have led to a barrage of insults from supporters of Peter Obi and a cross-section of Nigerians from the southeast.

Y'all dragging Brymo are just wasting your time. He has always been who he is. Collecting BAT cheques is just a boaster for him for he has always been like that. He's a good singer and artiste but his political and tribal views is at par with waspapping. Always hold a grudge.

Brymo is trending because of this statement he made. Do you agree with him or you think this is a ridiculous take? pic.twitter.com/D3FEFLGnWJ

Brymo is to South West what Chimamanda Adichie is to the east. Chimamanda Adichie has spent all her lives degrading anything that is not Igbo. Goes all out to support an Igbo candidate and revels in igbo supremacy. But put Brymo's head on a spike for supporting Bola Tinubu.

Won't stop listening to Brymo, and he remains my biggest artiste in the world.
I'm currently listening to Ozymandias π€©π

So, let's just assume that Burna Boy declares support for Tinubu & not Peter Obi, then voices his concerns like Brymo did. Then Burna Boy will suddenly become a fake artiste? Or it will also be assumed that Burna Boy doesn't write his own songs? This is delusional reasoning.

I think declaring support for Tinubu isnβt the reason Brymo was being dragged, itβs because of his disposition towards a certain tribe, fair enough he deserves the heat heβs getting atm https://t.co/FLInQQLESt

I share Brymo's sentiments. Peter Obi's campaign strategy has been appalling to say the least. The people who are supporting him as well have been ridiculously tribal about it. https://t.co/jguoord7nm

Your VP candidate is the immediate past governor of Borno state. Under him, Boko haram and other unknown gun herds thrived and bore offspring. Brymo I know youβre working for your money but please have some shame. https://t.co/GeWupeKzcN
