Starring Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Adam Driver, the movie takes place in 1386 and explores the revenge tale of two best friends (Affleck and Damon).

One of the friends goes to war and finds out that the other has raped his wife. With no one to believe the woman, the soldier appeals to the ruler of France and demands a duel to the death with the perpetrator of the heinous crime.

If the one who raped his wife wins, then it will be assumed that he is innocent of what he is being accused of. The duel becomes the last legally sanctioned one in the history of France.

The script was co-written by Affleck and Damon with Nicole Holofcener and this marks their first collaboration since the award-winning Good Will Hunting (1997).

Adam Driver’s role hasn’t been revealed but we do know the name of the character he plays; Jacques Le Gris. Also, some pictures have just surfaced online with Affleck and Damon spotting very different looks than what fans are used to seeing. This is to accurately portray the setting of the film.
